Wiki Image support in TF6.1

Message I have been using the JSPWiki Image plugin for some time. It is supported in FireFox adn allows me to control my "alt" text and a caption for each image. I recently found out it is not supported in Internet Explorer and only shows the caption text.

Is the JSPWiki Image plugin officially supported?

Is there a way to attach "alt" text and a caption to an image using the [attachmentName.jpg] format?
